GREATER NOIDA: A farmer has accused three cops from Jewar police station of framing his son in a vehicle lifting case after he failed to give them a bribe of Rs 50,000 on September 21, said officials on Tuesday.
The case came to the fore when Ratan Singh from Neemka complained to the police about the incident.
He said two constables - Pratap Shukla and Sushobhit Chowdhary – picked his son from a shop where he had gone with his friend Amit on September 19.

“The locals saw the policemen grabbing my son's collar and detaining him. When Amit protested, they detained him as well. The policemen then took them to Chauroli village in a van. From Chauroli, they picked up three more men and brought them to police station,” Singh told the police.
He added he got to know about his son’s detention at 4 pm after which he went to the police station.
“The policemen told me that they wanted to question my son and would release him after that,” he said. He added that later Chauroli village chairman went to the police station and managed to get the three men released.
The Noida Police Commissionerate has asked the additional deputy commissioner to investigate the matter and take appropriate action. ADCP (Zone 3) Vishal Pandey said the incident is under probe.
